Well, practically all. (Several more are in the mail.) And yes, that’s my mug underneath them. A bit of practice with the camera convinced me that self-portraits are possible.

VERY VERY COOL. You definately have some beautiful hats Marc. That 20s Stetson is amazing. Thank you for showing them off. Now that wasn't so hard was it?

You really did inspire me, Douglas. :cheers1:

That grey '20s Stetson was a disaster when it arrived. Several soakings in naphtha and a reblocking were needed. And I still have to replace the disintegrated sweatband. The seller claimed that her grandfather wore it at his wedding.

Does C&K stand for Crofut and Knapp?

That's an excellent question. The logo is very faded on the silk lining, so I can only make out a semicircle of medals, and below that the crowned initials "C & K".

Inside the sweatband, there's a paper label showing the size and a logo: the words "trade mark" above the picture of a derby hat. Below the derby, it says "C & K - registered June 15, 1880".

Perhaps James Powers could help us out with this?

With a collection of titfers like that you'd think a guy could manage a smile. :eusa_clap

Noun: titfer titfu(r)
Usage: Brit
A hat (Cockney rhyming slang: 'tit for tat' rhymes with 'hat')

I'll be darned if I don't learn something new here every day!

"Honey, I'm off to buy a new titfer!" :)

Stunning hats, Marc...is the Green Courtney the one of much discussion of late? If so, I think the dimensions work well for you!

Well done, chap!

Just wanted to compliment you on your incredibly handsome hat collection. It certainly is a well sized collection. Each and every one has it's own, distinctive style. You wear them all well :)
Enjoy them and wear them in good health and with much happiness.

Its Crofut and Knapp---the oldest hatters in the US. 1880 definitely fits the years they were operating.
Nice hats by the way
