So that Squatter has no lining. Interesting. The ones on the Akubra website these days seems to have a liner. I guess one could always remove a liner.Fawn Superfine Squatter Featherweight

The Featherweights , if you can fined them, have no liner. So that Squatter has no lining. Interesting. The ones on the Akubra website these days seems to have a liner. I guess one could always remove a liner.
I think I read that as well. Not sure how true it isI think I read somewhere that the unlined version of a particular hat is for domestic distribution, and the lined version is for export.
I think I read that, too. But the Akubra domestic site seems to have the ones with a liner. OK, interesting, The Hattery has lined ones in Regency Fawn and unlined ones in Carbon Grey.I think I read that as well. Not sure how true it is

Anyone else notice that some of the Akubra retailers in Australia now say they have to be contacted to get pricing information on the Akubra line of hats.
The Hattery and Everythingaustralian were the sites I checked today. The only thing I could think of was something in the marketing department must have flipped with the New Year and the new Akubra ownership.
Sounds like the company is tightening up its reselling agreements, to limit international sales to go through their distributors only.Seems to contradict the idea of selling hats when you can't sell them online in today's world...
As an AKUBRA retailer, we are currently only able to DISPLAY the AKUBRA range online. If you would like to make a purchase of an AKUBRA product, pleasecontact us online. If you are an Australian customer feel free to call us at our Katoomba Store!
Of course my wallet will thank me as I have, in the past, found it too easy to impulsively buy a hat from Australia and have it delivered just a few days later.
Most of the online retailers I have checked over the past few days are not showing Akubra for sale online & are asking you to contact them directly for purchase. Hatsdirect, everything Australian, hatsbythehundred. None are showing Akubra for purchase. I read online that there was a change that just went into effect because Akubra wants to control the online market directly. Seems to just make it more difficult to sell your products. Hope it sorts out soon.Sounds like the company is tightening up its reselling agreements, to limit international sales to go through their distributors only.
