Akubra Campdraft

I have been admiring all the CDs here for quite some time. I like all the colors but needed some dark OR clones to please my wife and balance out the four light ones I already own. Not Campdrafts but thin ribbon wide brims.

I got a glen grey a couple of months ago and it is nicely dark and is perfect. So nice that I had to go and order a Mid Brown about a month and a half ago. You all were right, now I can't wait...

Please excuse me if this has been done to death, but I want to ask if for sure, the Campdraft is indeed more tapered than the Federation IV model. Is it slightly tapered, or is it a straight-crown like the Fed? Thanks! I can't seem to get the Campdraft out of my mind...

Campdraft: Straight sides, tall crown, wide, bound brim and thin ribbon.

It's been done to death, but if we quit talking about what's been done to death... the Lounge would have closed its doors long ago!

Neophyte is quite correct. Straight sides, open crowned, they look very stovepipe like.

My Fed looked quite tapered next to this hat.

It was like that when I ordered... and actually why I did so, they were getting too close to my 58 for comfort! lol

Unless they didn't scan it at departure, my hat has sat in Customs for going on two days now. [in just an hour or two it will be two days]

Same issue with my BGCD. Turns out that the AusPost tracking system is somewhat lax (a quick search on peoples opinions of the service tells similar stories; fast shipping but slow tracking, go figure lol). I'm sure your hat is close and coming.

I ordered a Silver Belly from EA before HatsDirect even decided to do the Glen Grey run. Guess which one I got first? :eusa_doh:

Well, they only shipped it out Monday... I'm just impatient, especially when it comes to paying premium for shipping.

I had someone ship me an item from a half.com purchase who is in my general area of town and It's been several days and still hasn't shown. [I'm almost certain I see the seller at the post office shipping out things, cause I remember them saying his name once... this seller has the same name]

EA was VERY quick to ship the hat out, and it got to LA in less than 24 hours from leaving their hands... God only knows what's happened to it since.

It just got to me that a hat that wasn't even available until a bunch of Loungers asked for it AFTER I had ordered the most COMMON color of hat got processed & delivered before the other.... Amazing to me! [huh]

Well, they only shipped it out Monday...

USPS does the same thing some times...like I said, this same thing happened to me with my own BG Campdraft lol.

I'm pretty sure that it will be there tomorrow .
