Big fan of the button-back cinch-straps.

I agree with Craig that the button cinch straps is a neat looking design. However, I would be hard pressed to buy this jacket over a Maxwell which is IMO a much cleaner design with similar function, assuming same materials are used.

As much as I appreciate Aero bringing out new styles, this jacket makes me think 1970's pimp.

I think that's a bit harsh. It looks stylish to me - and I wouldn't judge it until I could see it properly on someone. But to me it looks rather smart.

70s? Not really. :D

I do have to say, though, if I had known that they would have a brown (not seal or russet) goatskin a few weeks later I would have chosen that. I also wish my jacket had the slightly higher button stance like the goat version on Aero's website.

I think it looks great on your Rudie, like a few of the other guys, it looks 70's to me. But that isn't a bad thing, it just looks like a great jacket from the 70's.

I have no idea why people here seem to imply that 30's-50's styling is good but 70's is bad....

I think it looks great. It's the first button-up I felt would look good on me - I like the front detail and collar, but also the overall shape, and the goat's a very cool hide. I'll give it serious consideration next time. For the time being, my Board Track Racer should be with me sometime next week...

One of the features of this newest Aero that I prefer over the Maxwell is that the front and back of the former is close to the same without the pronounced front dip of the Maxwell, and several others in that category. Basically I like this new design, just not quite as well as the Maxwell, with all factors considered.

IMO the only thing that could be considered even remotely ostentatious would be those brown contrasting buttons. :D

1970's pimp comment had me laugh, but the jacket on the picture Rudie posted looks freaking awesome so +1 on what Sloan said.

And yeah, this isn't the first I've heard the 70's styling being mentioned in a negative context, while I rather like it.

I love it.....lots of detail and pretty busy...would be seriously retro in a nice cherry or cordovan....the button cinch is way cool, also love the retro collar....it's a winner for mine...
