THere's not much ponit them keeping a lot of patterns available for a model they don't make more thaqn a couple of, though personally I much prefer a wider range of sotck models over going custom.

It's hard to guess which ones they'll cut. Crop Duster, Speedway?

The speedway seems to be less popular than I'd have thought. Interestingly - at least based on what we see in the wild - we seem to see most commonly the one-piece backs or the more multi-piece like the Dustbowl; not so many with the two-piece look.

Of course, the other way they could go would be to offer a smaller number of jackets, but with more options on each - e.g. offer a single 30s Halfbelt, but with a choice of yoked or plain (with or without zip pocket) front, and choice of backs. Basically the level of customisation that they already offer on a discretionary basis, but with set options they they are definitely happy to do.

Whatever way it shakes down, I'm sure it'll pan out nicely. And TBH, a small part of me prefers the idea of a smaller Aero range if only to reign in my own spending. :p

I will be visiting Scotland arriving 17 Aug ~1pm.

What’s the cheapest sale I can get from your experience?

Aero will be around 2 hours from my hotel, is it worth it to visit?

Maybe around 350GBP, for a leather jacket. They do have other types of clothing, don't forget. They are absolutely worth a visit, sale or no. How can you not go if you're already there?

It's a lovely train or car journey to the factory and the factory itself is unforgettable.

Any idea what time they will close? Likely will be very tight.

Landing 1 pm - checkin hotel 30 min? - travel 2 hours? Likely can only reach by 5 pm

Yes, it's a bit of schlep. I do it by car from Glasgow and I'd be hard-pressed to get it below two hours, and that's with local knowledge. I'd recommend a trip to Aero even if you can't make the sale - the Borders is a lovely part of the country.

Thanks. I only have chance on weekend and sadly Aero closed on weekend (based on Google) except for the sale day. Correct me if I am wrong.

I only stay for 1 week due to budget constraints from my company

You're right, this is a one-off. I'd contact Aero and find out what the closing time is on the day of the sale.

Got good news. I will be arriving few days earlier so definitely can take a look on the sale.

Anyone else plan to go there?

Im hoping the current exchange rate holds through the sale.. very favorable from this side at the moment.

You’re safe. The pound is only likely to drop further with that bloody fool Johnson blathering on about a no deal Brexit.
