Now someone tell me what hat to wear with this ;) I'm a perfect 7 1/2 hat size, or 60cm, and for the past two years, have been wearing a olive-drab, wool, Tilley hat - this one to be specific:

But I'm open to other suggestions. Leaning more towards cowboy/texas-ranger look than a gentleman, myself.
You'll definitely be wearing a grin.

Do the DPD planes depart from EDINBURGH - UK? Would be sweet if so, but I bet they go to Germany or Poland and then get driven to Lithuania, so I doubt I'll get it before the weekend--although I'll pour libations and offer sacrifices if it does make it. Going to see this girl this weekend, and it would be swell to go in said jacket before then :)

"go to Germany" sounds good - I'm glad that I work at Central Post Office where usually Aero jackets arrive...size 38 sounds also not too bad for me ;)

If memory serves me correct you lead an active, rugged lifestyle and you value durable goods. For a modern maker Akubra seems to be the most cited brand on this forum that fits the bill. Best bang for the buck and they can take a beating. The Campdraft model is a clone of Stetson's Open Road. It's a bit more of dress western style but might the fit bill. Here's a link to a gallery strictly devoted the Campdraft. The majority are styled as a fedora with a front pinch, but the specific page I linked includes examples with a cattleman's crease.

If you want to continue the "full busy" aspect a vintage option would be a Dobbs Gay Prince model which features a whipstitch ribbon and brim.

Goodness, I love this forum! This is exactly the right place to start. Thank you, @TheOldFashioned !

I almost missed this thread scrolling down the page, sure glad I didn't! I reckon we should call it "The Lithuanian" in honour of you Feliksas as its creator! Frankenstein's creation might have been a monster but this jacket is a work of art, man! Every second bloke on this forum is gonna want one, me included.

Sam said that he was excited to make it, and that the King of the Road back is his favourite :) As, for me, the J-106 has the most distinct front, the King of the Road back seemed like the obvious choice if going full-busy, and as I plan to wear this jacket all year round, throat-latch is a must.

@Guppy, I'll measure when I get it, but it's whatever the standard J-106 pit to pit would be. For reference, my "Relaxed Chest" measure for the jacket was 103cm – 40.5”, and "Expanded Chest 105cm – 41.5”--but none of the measurements I provided necessitated changes to the off-the-rack measurements.

FTR, I'm:
183cm tall
75kg
82cm around the fattest part of my belly, but at order time, my measurements were:
Stomach 92cm – 36.25” // Waist 89cm – 35”

Hi, please post fit pics when you get this awesome jacket! Thanks.
I have almost the same measurements as you, maybe a bit pudgier in the middle, and I just ordered size 40 in the Daytona. From my experience with my Aero cafe racer their biker jackets fit very tight.

It's a real thing, that back makes you look more masculine by accentuating the shoulders and slimming your torso. But yes, the King of the Road back is my favourite of all the backs, and I spent like a week going through all the jackets to decide on which back to put on the J-106 front :D

Having these pictures but not the jacket yet is a mixed blessing--holy anticipation, batman!
