Howdy all,

I just got word from Aero that my custom jacket shipped today. I asked them to take some photos before shipping so that I could show you guys:
Jacket Front Small.jpg
Jacket Back Small.jpg

Type: J-106
Size: 38"
Leather: Natural CXFQHH
Customised:
King Of The Road Back (Yoke, and hidden belt)
Indian Ranger Throat Latch
Brass Hardwear
Zips with Brown Tape
Olive Drab Thread
Blackwatch Weathered Tartan Lining
Inside Gun Pocket - zip closure, pull down to close
Car, Bike, Plane Aero Label
Standard 25.25" Back
Standard 25.5" Sleeves
[edit: Confirmed by Sam, standard 38 all around, so it should be easy to reproduce for anyone that's interested--nothing is longer or shorter, it's all standard 38]

More pictures on arrival, but I think it's pretty sweet--I haven't seen *any* pictures of a light-coloured J-106, and I do think that this build is particularly handsome! What do you guys think?

Also--what should we name this Frankenstein? :p

Cheers!

nice jacket, but the title of the thread is somewhat offensive - probably unintended I'm sure, but putting a swear word next to the word Indian does not read well......I have no clue what its referring to

Are many people offended by this? I live in Europe, and nobody cares, so it's hard for me to judge what a faux-pas is in North America. If everyone is super offended even though offence was not my intent, perhaps the mods can change it.

How is that offensive? He didn't write "Indian ba***rd", he wrote "J-106/Kotr/Indian ba***rd", which means the love child of all the jackets mentioned above...
There is literally nothing offensive here!

I'm not the 'easily offended brigade' and I'm not trying to start a squabble, apologies if it comes across that way.....but the language is somewhat jarring, thats all......

The only thing I'm offended by is the fact that this jacket is 20X cooler than anything I've ever owned and ever will. Absolutely brilliant combo of parts between the j-106 and an elvis. Stunning!

Yeah, seconded.

And here I thought there's nothing else in this jacket business that'd ever leave me impressed. It isn't something unseen but the way they've pulled it off... "HOLY SH*T" was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this.

Sam said that he was excited to make it, and that the King of the Road back is his favourite :) As, for me, the J-106 has the most distinct front, the King of the Road back seemed like the obvious choice if going full-busy, and as I plan to wear this jacket all year round, throat-latch is a must.

@Guppy, I'll measure when I get it, but it's whatever the standard J-106 pit to pit would be. For reference, my "Relaxed Chest" measure for the jacket was 103cm – 40.5”, and "Expanded Chest 105cm – 41.5”--but none of the measurements I provided necessitated changes to the off-the-rack measurements.

FTR, I'm:
183cm tall
75kg
82cm around the fattest part of my belly, but at order time, my measurements were:
Stomach 92cm – 36.25” // Waist 89cm – 35”
