Not heard anything about the USN jackets. I know Ken has made significant changes to at least some of the A2 patterns (though the photos haven't, to my knowledge, been updated on the website to reflect this), so it's entirely possible he's done the same with the USNs. I think they're still pitched online as generics of the design as distinct from specific contract repros (again, no idea whether the site is up to date on that), but they may have changed 'em up a bit so they more reflect a particular contract. [huh]

A couple have been updated. Particularly like the aniline steer:

If one is interested in a specific contract repro M-422a, check out Bill Kelso. They do the Willis and Geiger and the Gordon & Ferguson model M-422 jackets.

hmmm, based on the bill kelso pictures of the m-422a, it looks like aero may have updated there m-422a with some gordon & ferguson type features (looks like it now has a rounded packet flap, slightly larger side pockets [?], different shaped mouton collar [?], and maybe [not clearly visible] slot for a pen/pencil in the left pocket)...... and that it used to be a bit of a hybrid of g&f, and the willis geiger (assuming bk patterns are more authentic).

So perhaps it is bit more of an 'authentic' g&f m-422a replica now?

I hope Aero updates their M-422a lining. They call it "deep wine" but in the photos it looks too purple.

I had my Aero ANJ-3 (same body and wind flap as your jacket) on this morning and noted that the sleeves on mine appear to be cut longer than yours appears on the photo, some_jerk, but that's probably not the jacket per se but the length of your arms, as you mentioned.
That said though, I really like the length that I have (ooh-er, missus!) and wouldn't wish for it to be shorter; even though that is how most of them appear in archive photos and yours matches that look perfectly.
