Edward, those service pants have a quite modern fit. They are quite slim but without any taper on th leg. I wouldn't call them low waisted like some of the modern fashion chinos are but they aren't high waisted either. Very wearable pattern I think and the heavy selvedge twill is the icing on the cake. The rear pocket flaps are particularly nice:

Also those "darts" on the front pockets look great:

Jan, I'm really liking your posts, what trouser size are you in the above, how hi is that rear rise, from bottom/crotch seam to top of waist hem?
