Yes a gorgeous jacket/coat. I have one in black steer and love it. Fit looks good and I do like the way Aero will tell you it looks ok and it is, rather than just sell you something you look crap in just to take your money.

In short: yes, I’m probably good for the foreseeable future (I have one Good Wear on order, but y’know that’s down the line... sometime). But some are packed up during spring/summer - the Irvin, D1, LHB - while the Dustbowl, A2, Wayfarer and BR get the run of house. I do need to have a clear out at the back of the wardrobe, though, there's stuff that I really need to get shot off to the local charity shop.

Gorgeous- Is the (fixed?)belt loop on the back a new feature.
I have one and it does not have the back loop, but then it is about 15 years old and a very slight custom. Often I tuck the belt and buckle up behind if I may plan on removing the jacket frequently.
I would not normally revert to the Headless Horseman shots but I thought you may be more interested in the details haha, but sorry, no Zombie Strangle hold for you on the sleeve length ;)

Yes, I watched some people at the sale being gently guided towards more flattering sizes/styles. It only makes sense: if you buy something that when you pull it from the wardrobe looks like it belongs to somebody else, you’re unlikely to frequent them again.

That looks fantastic, John. For some reason I still can’t get to a black jacket, and I don’t know why.

Thankyou - Aero have a cordovan beauty in their used section but I fear the sleeves would be just to long for me especially with a wide shoulder width.I am not sure on re-reading your post whether you feel your sleeves are too long but feel free to strangle me.....

Haha. I call it The headless Horseman simply because most folks on here always miss out their heads when showing fit pics, not always, but I usually do show my ugly mug.
I would have a cordovan as opposed to simply brown but do I need two coats the same just different colours? No as my Teamster serves that purpose. Aero brown is a wonderful colour though and has the surface effect of looking like a freshly dropped horse Chestnut, or conker to the British.
I am actually happy with my sleeve length but I just wonder why some wearers show with there arms outstretched at shoulder hight to show the gap between wrist and cuff . It is a totally unnatural position to hold your arms unless you are a zombie trying to kill off the opposition (Eastman, Lost Worlds, McCoy etc etc) Haha.

Super nice, Sloan1874! Congratulations.

Ken

As promised, here's some fit pics of my purchase from Aero's sale. I've always liked the barnstormer design but wasn't sure 'it was me'. Well, Ken insisted I give this one from the sale rack a go, and it turns out I was wrong!
To use a Scottish term, this one is a stoater: the mid-weight seal Vicenza is closer to dark chocolate than the milk chocolate of Horween's FQHH, set-off nicely by the subtle OD green thread. But if this all appears a bit sober and severe, there's an eye-popping heavy, Strom-weight Aberdeen tartan lining.
Anyway, the fit's on the nail - remarkably it's a size 34, so I can wear it with just a jumper under it - and because it's not FQHH, it's got an inside pocket! Anyway, enough gab, here are the pics:

It's been a long time since I had a belted coat, so it should be interesting to see how it behaves once the weather closes in.

This is a really nice jacket. Congratulations
Mine was bought here in the classifieds, it's black Steer (maybe Conolly). That's my jacket for foul weather (wind and rain in the winter => Barnstormer). Each time I wear it, I am thinking "I need an old Triumph Bonneville" :)

That's a really awesome jacket! You don't see double breasted leather jackets very often, but I always feel like there should be more. This is a fine example.
