Advice for stretching bunched A-2 waist knits

Hello All, Hoping one of you A-2 jacket-junkies can shed some light on a proper way to safely stretch the waistband knits so the jacket doesn't have that bunched-up look in the back. Here's a photo of the bunching that I'm talking about. This particular jacket is Rough Wear from THE FEW. Awesome jacket, just don't like how tight the waistband feels. Tends to make the jacket ride up above the waistline (don't get me wrong...happy to still have a waistline!) when wearing so I have to keep pulling it down.

BUT........I don't want to end up with that saggy, over-stretched look either. Is there a happy medium than anyone has had success trying?

Generally by wearing it. But you can hasten the loosening process by zipping up the jacket and sliding it over a large cushion or a duffle bag or something a little wider than your hips that gently stretches the knits. Leave for a few days.

That makes sense. My mind was leaning in the direction of soaking or steaming, etc. But I'll give that a try for a week or so. Thanks!

Agreed, Peacoat. I was almost thinking of having the knits replaced. Any idea who would do a good job? The leather is amazing, and the knits are accurate, just too tight.
