Moe, it's post 1943. In the address New York 12 New York, USPS started using the two digit numbers (12 in this case) for large cities in 1943. Can't help other than that. This arrived today.
I am HAPPY!!
The insides:
Sweat stamps:

That white fabric strip under the factory tag went about halfway around the inside, stuck to the reed tape with some weak adhesive. I think it was a sizing strip of some sort. I removed it and the hat fits way better now
This was under the wonderfully soft and supple sweat:
Crown is 5 1/2" open, the brim measures 2 1/2" with the curl, about 3" if flat. 150g.
Creased:
From what I renember from looking through this thread for my 30's Panama the roundish size tag of this red-brown color is attributed to the 30's, and a gold square one for the mid 40's. So I'm going for early 40's on this one. Any input always welcome!

Thanks for the info. At least it doesn't rule out my early 40's guess!Moe, it's post 1943. In the address New York 12 New York, USPS started using the two digit numbers (12 in this case) for large cities in 1943. Can't help other than that.

I like the ribbon!1960s-era Adam Premier "Crusader." Color is listed as Foam. Interesting, two-tone mid ribbon. Picked this up yesterday antiquing. Too small for me, so into the Bay it goes to generate funds for more hats! Precreased, ~4 1/4" crown, 2 3/8" brim. Very nice hat and great example of mid-60s production hats.

Good luck with the sale.
really cool ribbon and a very nice hat. Is it a small 7 1/4 or a full size or more smaller?1960s-era Adam Premier "Crusader." Color is listed as Foam. Interesting, two-tone mid ribbon. It’s more a stretched out thing. Pretty common on vintage hats. Also shrinking is common. One interesting thing...I take a 7 1/4 but this Adam 7 1/8 fits perfectly. Is that normal for this brand?
