I need some help identifying the attached image. Does anyone recognize this actor--or, perhaps the film? A friend recalls that this is the opening scene. The face looks familiar, but I can't think of his name.

That is John Standing as Nick Jenkins at the beginning of the 4th and final episode of British TV series A DANCE TO THE MUSIC OF TIME from 1997. Based on the 12 novels by Anthony Powell of the same name. An absolutely brilliant unconventional TV series IMO.
