A2/B6 roundel query

Hi all,

Just curious as to the historical accuracy of the USAAF roundel on the shoulders of A2/B6 jackets? I'm going to order an ELC B6 and was considering getting one put on... the decal type - but wasn't sure if they were ever applied to new jackets?

Not that I'm going to become a re-enactor or be in a period film, mind you... Sometimes I like details like this to be correct ;-)

Likewise... was reading somewhere that they were applied to re-dyed A2's during the war. Mine still looks pretty new... but the roundels do look sharp.

I had an Eastman B-6 with an Air corp roundel…wether right or wrong if you like them, go for it.

Roundels? Are those like the AAF 'decals' Transfers or the leather shoulder pieces? I'm not familiar, if you might be able to fill me in? in either case, I would like to know more about both these things.
