Two-tone leather jackets

I had ambitions of a two-tone Hooch Hauler a while back, but my wife nixed that with an "Oh hell no," so that's been put on the back burner indefinitely. (Settled for a brown 30s HB instead.) Was thinking light and dark brown combination or black and cherry CXL. Seeing @red devil's JL sharkskin trucker kind of gets that itch going again.

With all the panels, the trucker is great to play with when mixing colours

@Canuck Panda, I asked Holly about building a slim-fit KOTR. I'm afraid it's a no-go. So, two-tone J-106 it is. I think I'll go ahead and submit an order today and sort out the color scheme down the road.

I've seen at least two J106 with KOTR back. One is the famous natural one here and another one I saw on Instagram a cherry one. The KOTR back looks awesome and would give more mobility than the J106 small shoulder gusset back for sure. Plus if you are going two tone there is more to play with.

I have the Daytona in two tone Cherry/Brown

If I saw the KOTR on the Instagram I would've gotten that. Or at least added those features. Like those two back side map/handwarmer pocket (I am not sure if they're hand warmers or map straight through pocket). This feature is only available on really expensive jackets like LW and the RMCs.

I do like the KOTR back, especially that one from IG that you posted, and I've always admired that J-106/KOTR hybrid. I'm still waffling on whether to go black Badalassi/cream Vicenza or black/tobacco Badalassi. I suppose I'll have a couple of months to decide.

I believe so. It’s one of the best evolved jacket I’ve seen around here. And that two tone Vicenza that went on a road trip.

If I really think about it, is it really that bad mixing two animal skins into one jacket? Most Grizzly jackets are made with at least two animals skins right. Either Sheeporse or Sheepow. Would a Storse jacket really be that bad?

The storse episode had a number of issues, but sticking to the purely construction question, I think it's a question of design. The thing about a Grizzly is the different types are considered and their properties baked-in to the design. The Storse jackets that were a mix of horse and steer passed off as horse by Will Lauder were not patterned as such as I understood it - one sleeve might bed horse, the other steer, patchwork panels here and there. That unconsidered mix was the issue there. Had the differing properties been accounted for in the design and properly worked into it, I should think it would be less of a problem, purely from a construction pov.

Good morning folks, any opinions on two Tone CRs? I'm trying different styles lately, but have some concerns that I will appear too much like a rider-which I am not. Thanks

Two tone CRs can look great. I particularly like them in black and brown.

That being said I’m not a huge fan of the jacket in the photo, the grey looks too dull for my liking
