And for whatever reason, the one of our two gas stations still sells Zippo fuel for friendly 3.49 EUR!
The brass will patina, evenly if it's uncoated (I believe it is) or in spots where the clear paint wears off first. Whether that's a positive or a negative is up to you. May make your hands smell funny if it's uncoated brass, no big deal.Does anyone know, if the very basic "Regular Street Brass" Zippo does age well?
We don't have Walmart here, but maybe I will find the super basic Zippo anywhere.
Way too little flame. It'd work but it would take forever and you'd run out of fuel before you got anywhere with it.Just a thought.
Could a Zippo be useful as an emergency-stove on camping? I try to imagine, that could work for heating up a small pot of food??
Is the patina just from normal handling or did you do something to it? Just curious, I have some brass items that I'd like to get patina on.YO, I'm surprised, that the pure brass cases start to patina that fast! Wonderful!!
1 1/2 week.
