Found this jacket on ebay last Saturday, the jacket still needs break in and doesn't show much grain. The knits are in perfect condition. The leather is veg-tanned steerhide. This hide is very soft and isn't thick, bit like lambskin I'd say. Don't know how it will age.

And I really the repro crown zipper used on this jacket.
If the seller of this jacket is on this forum, I'd say thank you to him.

Looks great! Congrats on the new jacket. You can't go wrong with an ELC.

Errrr yes you can. I have an early jacket, before his original maker jackets, it is all but falling apart. The pocket stitching has simply come undone as has the wind flap to lining and various other area problems. I am getting it repaired though so it may be able to get through another tour of duty. Still a great jacket for doing everyday things and I am not bothered about real further damage.

ZHZ:- looks like a neat jacket you have there, wish it was worth me bidding, I was a 36 when I was a skinny teenager in the 1970s, now its a 44 haha.

The workman ship looks good on this jacket, I assume his early work is not as good as now?
I will see how my body shape will change after 30 years.

Looks to be a good fit on you. Lucky for sure... That hide may surprise you after some wear and tear... Post some more pics after the winter ;)

I'd give Eastman's a ring & inquire :) If you have no luck, I know somewhere else you could try: 'Cobra Leathers' of Swindon. I've used Cobra for many years for both nylon & leather alterations (not cheap though).
