I love the ribbon work on that hat, Steve! Excellent! :eusa_clap:eusa_clap
Looks like a Wide Ribbon to me...
the origin of this thread states = "Let's see those kind-of-thin-but-not-really-thin-enough-to-be-considered-thin-ribboned hats."
That's the great thing about a loose affiliations - everyone qualifies. Brotherhoods and guilds are so exclusive. Here in the loose affiliation, we're all just gathering around a relative term.

This is the thread for the rest of us.
Regardless of the ribbon size, it's a damn nice hat. Here's my natural VS...
I really like the black one, Monbla.
Thanks but have you ever seen a VS that wasn't?
Very good point, while I obviously like some VS styles more than others, all of Mr. Fawcett's creations are special . I really like the Natural felt used for your hat and the ribbon colour just goes really well with it.
Thanks for the kind words. IIRC, I asked Art for a 14-16 ligne 'midnight brown' with a 4 ligne binding matching the felt. The ribbon on this hat is exactly 1.5". Is that really considered wide?
Over 1" is wide in my book, especially over 1.25" is a WAR

We need a thread delineating the difference between WARs and TARs and add to that the MARs.
We also need to enlighten everyone on the SABs the WABs and of the the MABs.
But when we get to the TACs and SACs there isnt any MACs.

The ribbon on this Wegener of mine also measures in at 3/8 of an inch.
