They really are. The Anti-bandit bag is hilarious. That baby cage is crazy!

I kindof like the Dog Restrainer. Hell, they're all amazing. A true testament to the American entrepreneurial spirit!

The dog holder is hilarious.
Look at that mini-television! Consider the phone answering robot. Shades of things to come..:)

I think the glowing car tires are cool.

Verrrry interesting. Some of them are just ludicrous. But some of them are just premature attempts at technologies that just weren't read yet, like the mini TV and the TV glasses. I suspect a few others were mere publicity stunts, meant for amusemnet. Some of the old newsreel footage from 1930's newsreel showing hilariously bad flying machines that collapsed immediately, were really just staged jokes for the paying publec. But still, there is that large segment of some guy with what he thought was a great idea the world was just waiting for and that would make him rich, but was just a dumb dumb dumd idea, like the poor bird man who threw away his life jumping out of a plane.
That 2 person cigaret holder's Achilles heel is that if your partner isn't covering their hole when you take a puff, all you get is air from the other mouthpiece.
I guess they figured that out pretty quickly.

The external turkey roaster: because oven-roasted turkey isn't dry enough.

Motorized surfboards and water shoes: for people who never got the memo about not standing up in a boat.

I'd like to have one of those Finnish saunas, though. It would feel good on a cold, dry winter night.

Hehe. Finnish saunas :) I have a sauna atleast two times a week.. It's extremely relaxing!

And we have the moist, firewood saunas. Not the electric ones. They're really dry.

Wow. Just wow. I thought I came up with stupid things... I am a mere amateur.

If I walked up to my German Shepherd with that dog restrainer thing, my dog would take that away from me and beat me with it. And those bra cups? That guy should have to wear one for a hat.

I too appreciate the dog restrainer.

Amazing that sixty years later, it was reborn as the perfect appliance with which to retrieve Fido and cans of SpaghettiOs from those hard-to-reach upper shelves.

The portable sauna cracks me right up. I can't decide whether I like it more than the baby cage, or the strapless backless bra cups lol

My dog would turn around, run up the restainer and tap me on the head, then jump down and steal the turkey.

Her favorite invention is the treadmill.

Credit where credit's due

Funny how the curved gun barrel was on here, because the Germans had working prototypes of that in WWII. Hmm....
