No doubt. If given the option to be absolutely anything I wanted in a virtual world, I might get somewhat addicted. It would be fun for a while I think. Maybe combine Rampage with this and appear as a 50 foot gorilla,....hmmm,...fatwoul said:This strikes me as strange, since these people are choosing to dwell in an imaginary world whilst showing little imagination.

She explains how, given infinite scope in their appearance, everyone on SL ends up looking the same anyway. All the girls are chesty and scantily clad, and all the boys are ninjas or whatever.
Instead, this girl is a Happy Meal. Her character on SL resembles an entire Happy Meal. Fries, drink, the lot, all piled together. She wishes SL was more like this. Nobody else there gets her.
Imagine a room full of people, none of whom are people. Imagine spending the afternoon sipping cocktails, and having a conversation with a Happy Meal, a Swiss cheese plant and something that is half golden retriever and half dolphin. But it doesn't happen, because everyone in SL looks and acts the same. This strikes me as strange, since these people are choosing to dwell in an imaginary world whilst showing little imagination.

You can make a real living there. If you know the ins and outs enough or whatever, you can sell what you create and have a second income. That is one of the attractions that people have found for Second Life. As previosly mentioned, companies will also have biz meetings etc.

Most critically: Can you buy a hat in 2nd life?
