When I was a kidlette in the 60's I wanted to be Marlo Thomas from "That Girl." I think it was the hair, eyelashes and eyeliner!

Back in the late 80's when I was in my early 20's I used to wear the cat eye liner and my hair in a shoulder length flipped out bob with the crown teezed up in a little bit of a boufant and people used to tell me all the time that I looked like Marlo Thomas. Funny because I was not trying to look like anyone or any particular era I just liked how it looked.

I am definitly rocking the Brigitte Bardot look today and I got some great stuff from Revlon at Boots yesterday. Matte single eyeshadow in a dark chocolate brown and a matte nondrying lipstick called 'moveover mauve' or something.. The whole matte products definitly works for this look!!

Woah! Crazy! Cecilia is a great name. My name is really Cecil but when people assume it's short for Cecilia and call me that, I don't bother to correct them. lol

Hmm...from all I've seen, I guess I would like some elements of 60s style more than I initially thought I would because I really only knew about the mid and late 60s which I quite honestly, don't care much for. I quite like the early 60s 60-63. aprox. I tend to take my hair inpiration from some of the early films and notice how the younger actresses have been styled. Natalie Wood had a simple snail bun in one film and I really liked that.

My mother who was very photogenic, was an airhostess in the late 60s-70s. They were still very strict about hair, styling and uniform back then. The standards were very high. Hair still had to be above collar length, tidy, they were taught grooming, make-up application, and where to buy footwear, etc. Nothing outlandish which the decade's stewardess' have been associated with. Just chic.

History Channel or one of the Discovery channels had a documentary about aihostesses of that time.
