I sent my Trojan o Dena to see what she could do. After a few weeks of review, Dena want o return the jacket to me saying she was not confident I would be happy considering the challenge the jacket presented. I told her I would be willing to go $500 if she would take another look and reconsider.
I got the jacket back recently total cost was $410 including return shipping and I am happy. Dena had three large tears to reinforce and glue together plus other areas that required reinforcing. She supplied and install a vintage zipper. She had to widen the zipper tape. Two coats of dye were applied over the paint finish that was badly flacking showing the gray chrome-tanned color under the finsih. Dena then applied a sealer coat and then touch-ups with the dye and more sealer. I am happy with the result
Dena informed me she is slow and looking for more projects. I highly recommend her work and customer service.

Awesome! This was the jacket you pretty much got for free, right? Because Buyee didn't accept the return package?

I just busted the zipper on my Thedi half belt. I knew it was coming. Was a Riri zip (which are supposed to be super tough), but it was kind of at the wrong angle, so you really had to force the male pin in at a weird angle. I got to try and find a gray zipper to match, although I do have a Talon brass one that might be cool too. Maybe she can match just the male side, we'll see. I'll probably send it her way.

Amazing. How's the structural integrity now, does it feel like you have to baby the jacket? (Or is the jacket wearable as if the rips were never there)

Showstopper. Do you intend to wear it or is it more of a showpiece?
I will wear it sparingly, It is size 40 one size too small, and still fragile. I am concerned with the stitching and possibly more tearing. The jacket must have been stored for a long time improperly in humid China. The lining and label have no noticeable wear, the jacket was not worn much just stored. Being such a sung fit puts stress on the seams and leather.

I will baby the jacket. The good is I into it for less than $800 cheap for a vintage Trojan nigh rider. Early this year a black one in my size and that looked to be in very good condition sold for $1,500 the opening and only bid. No telling how much the buyer actually bid or how much I would have needed to pay but it does haunt me. I would not have the need to baby it

Looks great John, it sure is white!

I thought Dena was busy all the time. I will now have to take her a project. She's asking for one!

I did my an effort to find out more about Trojan Sportswear Co. but came up empty handed. I don't think I even found an Ad for their jackets. They go back to the 30s and probably ended in the 50s. That is close as I can get. I do have a ladies Goatskin jacket by Trojan, so I know they made a variety of jackets. They just don't show up.

I have been searching for information on Trojan Sportswear for twenty years no substance just a vague reference to LA and the 30s to 50s. Rin claimed Trojan was the most expensive jacket at the time. My jacket is not in the same league as Tabers, early Cals,
Anyone with information, please post it here

Glad to hear I am not alone with my failure to find any information. I have this ladies Trojan. Probably late in their history, shows they produced more than MC jackets, but it is nothing fancy I can see. I think I posted a 30s Vest from Trojan in another thread.

Outstanding work. I’ve come to expect nothing less from Dena. She consistently delivers incredible results. I remember seeing this jacket in its “before” state and thinking it was essentially garbage. She has proved me wrong. Amazing result!

WOW!! Amazing work. Your jacket turned out great. Hard to believe the before and after pics.

I want to send her my 618 for some mods. I want a left side, open, inside pocket and a right side, zip close, inside pocket added. I want a snap added for the belt, like on the 118. And I was also hoping to add some patches (that I have yet to acquire). I am unsure which patches to buy, iron on ones or sewn on ones for the sleeve patches. I am hoping she can sew patches on the sleeves.

I have to wait to send her my jacket until my JL project is finished. Right now, my 618 is my only jacket that fits for riding.
