1940s Dobbs fedora - greeny grey! Size 7 3/4.
After a long time trying to convice myself that I was a 7 1/2 hat, I realized slowly but surely that a 7 3/4 vintage that's shrunk a tad is a perfect size for me. Soooo comfy. Now I know what you guys who had smaller heads were raving about....
As H Jones put it (to paraphrase) "it shouldn't hurt when ya chew".
Well folks, this hat don't hurt when I chew!
Check it out, fom the Bay area for less than forty lids....
(Shot in my house in Dublin, Ireland!)
Inside: you know it ain't been heavily worn when the bow ain't soiled. The bow's mint, however the satin kiner is yellowe y in spots - I don't know what caused it apart from age....
The sweat is quite tough and isn't like my Borsalino sweat at all. Real "rawhide"!
Without flash it looks completely different, more like the olivey green/grey it reeally is. This makes me want to wear it more so casually - green with sweathers and khakis etc....
Any thoughts, lads...?
