What interests me are the trouser pleats: I don't know whether it is just the way it has been photographed, but these seem to have been stitched down quite low. Is that a common feature?

P.S. The vendor made a splendid choice of shirt to go with the suit.

The outer pleats are darts. I have a pattern from the same period that has them darted as well. The inner pleats are stitched further down than is usual, never seen that before.
