Possibly. But I've seen plus four suits go pretty darn high!

I hate to be the one to break it, but any sizes bigger than that and the price plummets. There just isn't as big a market for quality vintage in the larger and small sizes (which is, of course, good for me!) despite protestations to the contrary.

Jinkies, that surprises me - you'd know, though, as you're much more in touch with the current marketg than I am. Is that the average size for vintage fans, then? Is it to dowith a lot of folks getting into the vintage thing in their early twenties before, eh, middle age catches up with them as it has some of the rest of us? Not that I'm complaining, if it beings prices down for me. ;)

it will certainly narrow down the bidders, but the ones who want it will really want it.
Marc C paid £780 for a windowpane plus four suit a couple of years ago.

Ouch! To be fair, you'd be looking towards that kind of money for an Old Town three-piece, though somehow I'd be less scared of wearing out one of those. It was a beautiful suit, though.

Anything north of about 42 and south of 38, the prices tend to go down, notwithstanding the odd outlier. 38 to 42 regular is where it's at; centre of the bell curve.

That suit, oversize shoes & a big red nose & I could run away & join the circus! :thumb:

Ouch!

Thats the reason why the market is slim. Many misunderstand the reason for the color wool cloth used .

Marc's suit is amazing and is English made.
then he just got another late 20s 4 piece plus four suit greatness in full donegal tweed.

There's one in every thread.

Mea Culpa...all in fun guys -no intent to "dump". :p
Bear in mind this is from a middle-aged man who has never even owned a suit, much less worn one (I always feel like I am wearing my fathers clothes).
I am a sartorial Luddite, no harm intended. Ignorance & fear of the unknown would be a poor rationale, but that's all I got. Sincerely sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings. N'k? ;)

BS: My response to that suit can only reflect the title of this thread: Good God in Heaven!

I wouldn't wear it, but you've got to love it!
