There've been quite a few posts on another thread bemoaning the non-availability of period looking caps.
I have a cap just like the one Bertie Wooster wears to play golf in the TV show. I'ts free to the first person who contacts me confirming they'll pay the postage.
I can't work out how to post picture files on this site (I'd appreciate some instructions on how to do this, please,if any site experts are reading this), so here's a description -
It's light lovat green tweed with a tan/wine "window pane" check. It has a flat top and a very large visor. The crown is wider than modern style caps but not pizza size.
The size is 58/UK 7 1/8 (US 7 1/4) but it's a tad snug on me, that's why it's being offered. It's in excellent unstained condition.
The style is pure Bertie Wooster. It's also like the caps you see tractor drivers wearing in 1930's Soviet propaganda movies.
So there you have it; come on, you guys.
