When frenchman Louis Mantin died in 1905, he mandated that his house be sealed up for a century, then reopened to the public as a museum. And now it is, effectively becoming a time capsule for all to see.

One would probably feel like they were stepping back in time as they crossed the threshold into the manor.

It's an interesting story - moreso in that the heir had to tell the town to get moving on opening the museum or she was going to exercise her right under the will to take back the property. I guess it shows you that the stupidity of bureacracies flourish around the world.
