    Show us your British suits

Agree with all that HBK says. The lapels have a suggestion of 70's about them, plus no button hole on the lapel (as far as I can see). Trouser waist band and pocket innards certainly look later than '47 to me, and are very similar to suits I have from later 60's into the early 70's. There do...

The Non Shorpy Web All Stars.

Mmm..... If I could skate well enough to guarantee not falling over and looking like a prat, then I'd give it a go!:D

    Rubber vs. leather sole shoes

The thing about altering the balance of the shoe seems to hold true, as far as I can see, only as long as the original heel is still intact. If you add a rubber half sole, then you should add a rubber heel layer and adjust the height of the leather heel to compensate for the change. And as for...

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Selling nice Stetson Playboy, Open Road, and Giorgio Brutini Shoes

That looks absolutely nothing like the more 'usual' (anticipated) Stetson Playboy..... Weird that they took an iconic name/hat and turned it into an Alpine!

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Jeff, that is a wonderful looking hat, and it would be great to get someone like Art to recreate as closely as possible. But it is a real pain that Mode Edges/Cav Edges etc etc are not available, isn't it?. It's probably my favourite sort of edge. Cheers, RobStC

    Sorry, duplicated post.

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Probably the middle letter is just 'c.', short for 'con' (as in 'with'), and the model name is just what it looks like, i.e. Borsalino model name jibberish.....! Nice looking hat, congrats.

    The Dress Shirt Pocket Poll

No doubt the pocket can be useful, but for me the clean lines of 'no pocket' win every time. Having said that, I pretty much always wear a jacket when out and about, and I don't work in an office etc. environment, where carrying something in the pocket would be either necessary or useful...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Definitely worth seeing again..... a lovely hat :eusa_clap:eusa_clap. Oh, and nice looking watch too - what is it? looks early/mid 50's.

    Show us their suits

May just be a coincidence, but the fact that 4 of the 5 photos are of people with bicycles perhaps indicates that the cut-away jackets were a cycling related item? Very practical if so.....
