Agree with all that HBK says. The lapels have a suggestion of 70's about them, plus no button hole on the lapel (as far as I can see). Trouser waist band and pocket innards certainly look later than '47 to me, and are very similar to suits I have from later 60's into the early 70's. There do... -

Rubber vs. leather sole shoes
The thing about altering the balance of the shoe seems to hold true, as far as I can see, only as long as the original heel is still intact. If you add a rubber half sole, then you should add a rubber heel layer and adjust the height of the leather heel to compensate for the change. And as for...- RobStC

Probably the middle letter is just 'c.', short for 'con' (as in 'with'), and the model name is just what it looks like, i.e. Borsalino model name jibberish.....! Nice looking hat, congrats. -

The Dress Shirt Pocket Poll
No doubt the pocket can be useful, but for me the clean lines of 'no pocket' win every time. Having said that, I pretty much always wear a jacket when out and about, and I don't work in an office etc. environment, where carrying something in the pocket would be either necessary or useful...- RobStC

May just be a coincidence, but the fact that 4 of the 5 photos are of people with bicycles perhaps indicates that the cut-away jackets were a cycling related item? Very practical if so.....
