Although ending straw weather, I recieved a call that some milans have come in and jumped on it. My current Optimo Milan is my most worn hat but I wished it had a slighly larger brim. Looks like my wish has been answered. Looking forward to the new felt colors as well.
Thanks. I have another one similar that I tend to wear so this one just hasn't been out much. All reasonable offers will be considered. The hat retailed at Optimo for $850 4 years ago.
I have several Montecristis and this one is just not getting head time so its time to sell. Purchased from Optimo hats in Chicago about 4 years ago. Has been worn only a handful of times. In excellent near new condition. Brim is 2 1/2 inches. WPSI in the high 400's. I count anywhere between 441...
Grades seem to change between vendors. I agree with WPSI as one measure but would add that weave consistency and color attributes will play a role in overall grade of a hat as well.

I'm with the grey fans. Personally I have an Optimo Silverbelly and wear it all the time. You can't go wrong with Optimo for a great fitting hat made with superior materials and workmanship.
P.S. Your straw hats are fantastic as well. I live in south Texas and straws would probably be my everyday hat for most of the year.
Welcome John. I highly recommend their Milan hats. They are very comfortable in the Texas heat and can be dressed up or down based on ribbon style.
Steve
It has a wonderful weave but yes just a little too short in brim for me as well. Hate to have it sit on the shelf so hopefully someone will give it a good home

I have a Banjo I purchased used from Blackthorn and love it. It's my go to outdoor activity hat when the weather is cool.

In excellent condition, worn only 1 season. Has a little more of a light tan color to it than in photos with nice striations. The weave is extremely uniform as one expects from Optimo Hats in Chicago. WPSI 483. Brim 2 inches crown height 4 1/4 at highest point.
Asking $425 shipped anywhere in...
