This hat is dated 23rd of march 1957, so in the early years of the license. An observation here is that in Germany the "Imperial" designation wasn't used as opposed to the English license where it was common. Maybe the association with the past made and the Austro Hungarian Empire and their own exiled Kaiser made them opt for another name.
