That is a really nice hat. As my Bushman hat is worn with a telescope crease like that one, it resembles yours when the brim is down, although the Spirit of Australia hat has a flatter brim and a leather braided band. -

That's a very important improvement, I think. The original picture has him wearing a hat with too much taper, while the second one has the more straight-sided crown I prefer. Did you also raise the crown height a little bit, or did the lack of taper give the perception? -

You're right, those are well-priced and similar looking. I'm put off by the lack of an online ordering option, but I will consider that. I've been looking around at hats that resemble any one of theirs, in fact. I haven't decided which, yet, but I think I will make my decision pretty soon...
