So which is it ? the 'Frank ' hat, the 'Sartana' hat or the ' Lee Van Cleef hat' ?...they're all quite different. I think H. Weinstein has probably come up with the best option in the 'Rough Rider'...seems to have everything you'll need to transform it into a convincing spaghetti western hat. The 'Territory' is a good hat but it stubbornly remains an Aussie what ever you do to it.
Check out the 'Rough Rider' & there are plenty of vids on YouTube on how to steam shape hats if you don't know how.

The Good;
For that kind of hat i would consider a "Flying Cloud"
Google it for images, lots of ones on TFL.
Phone or snail mail only but much less expensive.

You're right, those are well-priced and similar looking. I'm put off by the lack of an online ordering option, but I will consider that.

I've been looking around at hats that resemble any one of theirs, in fact. I haven't decided which, yet, but I think I will make my decision pretty soon, probably with some Christmas money before the end of the year. I will find more about the Rough Rider hat, thank you.

Hello
i am a Spaghetti Western Fan, too.
I have a hat from cappelleria melegari from Italy. It looks like the hat from Charlie Prince from 3:11 to Yuma.

The Akubra Arena and Bobby hats are a relative bargain right now -- both under $90 (US) from Everything Australian
(add about $23 for shipping). The Rough Rider is around $95. Please let me know if you have any questions about any of these hats.

I should mention, 4" is a LOT of brim! Depends on your taste and how it looks on you. For me, I trimmed my 4"-brim Rough Riders and Arenas down to about 3.5".

The Akubra you want to make a telescope crowned gunfighter hat is the Warrego. Already has the crown shape you want, just need to flatten out the brim. Brim is 4 inches but you can always trim it down a bit. Crown is also about 4 inches high

It comes in black and Everything Australian stocks it.
edited to add: Black is available by special order
Another option is the Aussie Gold, brim's about 3 and 1/4 in.

The Akubra Cowboy is a much bigger hat than the Gymkhana, by the way. The crown's close to five inches high on the cowboy and about 3 and 3/4 inches for the brim

+1, & you wear it well. How does the Cappelleria fit for size? I really enjoy the part of Charlie Prince in that movie also.
