    ^Thanks, FF. The Goodwear is going strong. I wore it yesterday, in fact, until it got too warm for it. Although the same style, it's a very different jacket than the Bally. The Bally is tighter fitting, and unlined, a lighter jacket.

    Pardon this self congratulatory post, but last year I won an Alden boot design contest run by Leather Soul Hawaii. The store did a special order run of them (now, alas, sold out). My idea was an American version of an English country boot. I'm quite proud of them. You can see them here.

    Thanks! It's a thick felt hat, with lining long gone and a moth bite. But I quite like the shape of it. I got it in a lot of eBay hats. It's the only one from that lot I still have.
