Old/real Banana Republic safari shirt
Tagged size: M (suitable for a S/M, fits trim)
I believe this was NOS when I purchased it, but I did wash it as there was some light soiling from storage (air dried on a hanger, not in a dryer). I believe it's never been worn, and it has the original...
Thanks, all!
RBH, not sure if I can make that, but I am returning to the South this summer. Future get togethers would be more possible after the move.
^By the way, your Florsheim made me think of this post about the EG Windsor. He makes something of the captoe wingtip design, which is essentially the same design your Florsheims have above.
^Hmmm. Bostonian hadn't occurred to me. I know they were rebadged with the Carroll & Co. store logo (I think Carroll & Co. still exists). I had thought maybe Johnston & Murphy as I've seen them with the overall width listed first (B/AA) rather than last as with, say, Alden (AA/B). They're great...
I just picked up these vintage Carroll & Company suede brogues. I had expected English made when I bought them (on ebay), but I'm pretty sure these are US made. They have full leather suicide heels, and are partially lined in canvas. I'm quite pleased with them.
Does anyone have any thoughts...

^Thanks, cookie! Those are Barrie lasted and are size 9C. The Plaza lasted cigar shell boots just posted are 9.5B. The Nettleton longwings from the other thread are 9.5B.
These arrived yesterday from the good folks at Leather Soul. I special ordered them in my impossible-to-get-otherwise narrow size about 18 mos ago.
Alden boots in cigar shell cordovan
Pardon this self congratulatory post, but last year I won an Alden boot design contest run by Leather Soul Hawaii. The store did a special order run of them (now, alas, sold out). My idea was an American version of an English country boot. I'm quite proud of them.
You can see them here.
Thanks! It's a thick felt hat, with lining long gone and a moth bite. But I quite like the shape of it. I got it in a lot of eBay hats. It's the only one from that lot I still have.
