Genuine shell cordovan shoes

Posted these in the Show Us You Shoes thread, but I'll post a few more here. These are made by Alden for Brooks Brothers, color 8 shell, Leisure Handsewn penny loafers. The BB version of this shoe is unlined, which makes it soft as a slipper and oh so comfortable. And somewhat cooler, too, which makes them wearable for much of the summer.

These two pairs appear to be calf rather than shell.

Actually, I think they are Corrected Grain calf. I have a pair of Brooks Brothers monkstraps in CG and it has a similiar look to shell cordovan with the signature calf micro-creasing.

Just did a write up on my two pairs. Love them both.
Both pairs are Allen Edmonds, I had a special order pair of the Cambridge done on the #1 last due to my need for a larger toe box.

I have 5 pairs. 2 pairs of Allen Edmonds, 2 pairs of RL/C&J, and 1 pair of Rider boots. I like them quite a bit, but I find that the leather spots up in the rain, so I only wear them on nice days. I'll try and post a few pics eventually.

I recognize the BB Aldens from when I worked for BB. Came close to selling a pair one time, but didn't happen.

When you say they are unlined, what do you mean?

I'm still loving these shoes... they get look better and better with time. It's time to buff them out again, so i'll post a pic after I get to it.
