Sorry but don't get your hopes up on the brown one, it's mine. Mike made if for me a while back and since I don't wear it in the winter I let him put it on display so people can see what he can do. fedoralover

I got out a magnifying glass and counted the WPI. Did it several times on different places and came up at about 900 WPI. Not sure what category that puts it in. fedoralover

No labels, just a mess I found at an antique show in Portland Oregon. Someone really messed up a fine weave Monti. But I got Mike to give it some new life. I count 9 vuelta's in the crown. WPI too small to get an accurate number fedoralover

    Langlitz Story

Nice piece, thanks for posting. I really lucked out a few years ago and found a Langlitz Aviator jacket at Goodwill that fit me perfectly. I called them up and told them what I had and they said if I had bought that Jacket new it would have cost $1000.00. One of the nice things Langlitz does...

Mike, I intend on being there. Hopefully Mike will have it done by then. But he is pretty busy doing some remodeling in his shop so I'm not really counting on it. He's making room for more equipment. fedoralover

    Panama Hat Thread

Putting in a wire is a real waste if the hat has a nice back weave like mine has. Doing the back weave is an art unto itself and and takes a lot of skill to do. Why someone would want to hide it is beyond me. I just hope that when Mike reblocks it the stitch holes will close up some. However...

    Panama Hat Thread

I picked up this Monticristi at an antique show last year. Never got around to posting a few pics. It was all rumpled up and someone had a wire sewn under an edge binding around the edge of the brim. It is actually a fairly fine weave. I took off all the edge binding and took it to Northwest...

    MC jacket Goodwill find

In doing some research it appears that "Genuine Leather" was a brand name itself and not just a label saying the jacket was real leather. I've never heard of it before. fedoralover

    MC jacket Goodwill find

Here's a pic of the back. One piece on top and the smaller piece across the bottom. The only label on it is this one. Anybody have an idea of the brand based on it? The jacket is almost identical to a Sears MC jacket a friend of mine has. fedoralover

    MC jacket Goodwill find

It's not really my style but seeing this older, probably Sears Motorcycle jacket at Goodwill was too hard to pass on. It's in excellent condition. All the zips work and the lining is also in great shape. The fit was just about dead on. fedoralover

Any London or Paris loungers here?

Thanks for all the advice. I've just booked an apartment in Paris and one in London. I was surprised at how many places were already booked up. People must be taking advantage of the low air fares from the U.S. to london. In london I got a place at what's called "The Pavilions". In Paris we...

Any London or Paris loungers here?

Sorry, I see the question was too broad. We are checking into using Airbnb to find a bread and breakfast place. I've never used it before. I'm hoping it's reliable. But I've checked out the prices and it seems the further out from the city centers the lower the prices, but the question is...
