I'd like a pair or two of those on the left! I like the wide two-button waistband. They're stylistically remanescent of the pants in this belted corduroy suit ad. But the suit pants don't have the front pocket flaps and the waistband is even wider at three-buttons.- carter

I saw a terrific three-piece chocolate brown 38R corduroy suit at a thrift store last week. I almost bought it but decided I'd never be able to sell it. It's probably still hanging there. -

Which Color Shoe?
One more observation. If you can avail yourself of some braces/suspenders and have your suit(s)/pants fitted with buttons for same, you can forget trying to match shoes and belt. It's also a more classic look.- carter

I went to see the Radio City Music Hall Christmas show back in the 70's. We saw the Rockettes and a Disney animated Christmas feature. I don't remember the name but Mickey and Pluto were main characters. :)- carter

Maybe she'd like a Western Hat! Maybe you can surprise her. Try on and select a hat(s) at the retailer. Buy two or more hats and have them shipped by the retailer. Have the package(s) labeled "Do Not Open 'til Christmas". Just make sure one of them is for her. ;) :)
