    "Australia" Film Hats

Fletch, That's an excellent point. In an earlier post, Ron from HatsDirect stated, "It does look a little like the Federation 4 block but could not be as we had to virtually brush the dust off those blocks when we started making the new style." It's not that the blocks do not exist. They...

    "Australia" Film Hats

Consider this. Even if Akubra doesn't produce a line of hats from the film, my guess is that one of the vendors in OZ could tell us what current models most closely resemble a particular hat(s) worn in the film. With that knowledge in hand, at the current exchange rate, buy one or more of the...

The "Organic" Trend - do you believe the hype?

lol lol lol :offtopic: It's even more like circulating through a crowded room and picking up snippets of different conversations. Kind of like a scene of a soiree in a Merchant and Ivory film. Just picture the room, the people, the clothes, the lighting, and the background music. I'll use...

The "Organic" Trend - do you believe the hype?

Ok, maybe it's the Outer Limits Has anyone else noticed that this is at least the second thread that recently veered from it's stated intent into the FL version of The Twilight Zone? In this case, an organic question hyperventilated into genetic engineering, cloning of human organs, animal...

    We need bigger caps

Good Film - Great Caps I just watched a film about an Irishman fighting against the fascists during the Spanish Civil War. The name of the film is Land and Freedom (1995). The costume designer in the UK was Daphne Dare. This film has some great shots of caps and berets. Some of the caps are...

    Happy New Year 1931 again!

Graet Idea! I searched 2009 Vintage Calendar and found that Asgard Press prints a large number of calendars with vintage themes, mostly tied to collegiate sports. I didn't find any that were tied to specific years rather than events. What a unique calendar(s) that would be!

    Berets, Anyone?

Great Thread! I have/had a black, unlined, sans sweatband beret that I used exclusively for backpacking and camping in the 70's and 80's. Can't recall the manufacturer but it was stamped in the crown. I have no idea where it is now but this reading this thread brings back some great memories...
