Ditto that re. the gray whiskers Frank!
I find that a daily application of beard oil in the morning after I shower does help.
Look on the bright side, at least you can grow a real beard - unlike the vast majority of what I see out there today.
I think you will like them Tom. I applied a couple light coats of Obenauf's HD LP on them when I first got them last month and now just give them a quick brushing with a horsehair brush after wearing. They are actually my most comfortable pair of boots - and the price I got them for was icing on...
"Casual Friday" at the office.
I got a pair of 6" Chippewa Apache boots from Amazon for $100 or so over the holidays. I wanted something less expensive (compared to my Wolverine 1000 mile boots) for everyday to knock around in.
I find these very comfortable - even right out of the box.
Chris,
I have seen these pics on Thurston's site and always thought it was a sharp jacket and a good fit for you.
It would be interesting to see how it has broken in for you.
Welcome and congratulations on your (first?) Aero jacket!
My FQHH Bootlegger was purchased (used) off ebay and it has not softened very much after two years of wear. Like many here, I use Pecards conditioner to treat the leather.

Aside from a few Allen Edmonds belts that I bought specifically to match some of my AE shoes, I think these two manufacturers make better belts at a decent price. I bought several casual (Chromexel, to match my Aero jackets and Wolverine 1000 mile boots) and dress belts from each and have no...
Hi Alan,
Knowing that you are in the graphic arts industry to an extent, you may also enjoy this color "test". I work in the coatings industry and I use this to gauge basic color aptitude of my chemists, technicians, and even sales personnel:

This now makes sense to me. I own two Flight Suits (pre- Gibson & Barnes name) A2 jackets - a size 44 in HH and a 46S in goat. Both have a decent fit with the 44 HH being snug over a light shirt and the 46S having some room for layering.
Last year I bought a size 44 Skyliner jacket (G&B) on...
I have them on my Highwayman (bought used) and hate them. IMO they just get in the way. The only jacket I have and like them on is my ANJ-4; fitting for a cold-weather jacket.
