My first himel was in this leather. It's really fantastic. The second or third day I had it, I walked past a house that was getting the roof painted, micro paint drops all over it. Luckily they all cleaned off with some friction.

I don't think the leather destruction thing holds water. It's probably a 0.5% defect rate or something. Sometimes they hang in store windows etc and get sun damage. Or get heavy motorcycle use and abrasion. But you can find ragged out beef jerkies in the US too.
I would lean more towards it being veg tan originally or just a struck thru brown than a chrome tan with magical color changes.
If it was conditioner you'd think there might be uneven areas like the inside of hems that kept the 'original color' etc but I've never seen it not be even.
Bolero.
I like the back length but I think it would look good with front drop.
this length looks excellent on you too.
As a short guy I think you pull off better looks than denim dentist who always look like he's compensating lol.
Also good choice on the leather...its himels best leather imo.

Still pricy for a nylon jacket even with the 25% code
you're prolly right I think of those basically interchangeably, a sanded middle section. Nubuck has always been ugly to me.
I suspect a lot of beefier 'suede' jackets are probably just roughout, before it became more popular to make the distinction as a marketing tactic.
My point is still that...
