I remeber those that I’m waiting for and those that have recently arrived. Sometimes I forget what I already have sitting in the closet! [emoji3]
I would really need to thin the heard as I have quite a few jackets that I never wear. I just dislike selling on ebay and these jackets are just...
I was actually little worried that this jacket would turn out too orange based on some photos I googled.
This current batch Octagon looks very nice to me, but the color is very hard to describe. It has elements of russet / cordovan / oxblood in it depending on light.
Yes, it definately needs braking in, but at least my jacket is/was comfortable and easy to wear from start. Nothing like Aero cxl fqhh for example. Also I would say that octacon doesn’t feel as stiff as its sister, Vanson’s X150 which is basically the same hide in black color.
I love the fit of model b / oxford. That’s why I decided to go custom instead of having standard octagon enfield. Also, Vansons pricing is strange, this custom Oxford turned out to be almost exactly the same price as standard oct enfield is.
Yes, yes, I know, its me again with a new jacket... I put the order in sometime in spring and today I picked it up from post office: my custom Oxford.
Oxford is Vanson’s model B with shirt collar. I asked for following modifications:
- Octagon leather
- red rayon lining
- nickel hardware
-...
While I don't agree with Gromulus about "serious lifter" absolutely needing a belt, I agree with him that 4" wide straight belt is your best choice if you decide to buy one.
This is true. If you’re trying your max or protecting an injured back belt might be ok, otherwise it will only hurt your gains. Squat and deadlift are lifts in which you see most people using belts. If they didn’t use belt and started with weights they can actually handle they would train their...
Aero Mulligan in tumbled brown fqhh.
I bought This jacket used and I think it is from time when Aero used much thicker and stiffer fqhh. Its almost too stiff for my liking as it must be closer to 4.0 oz but I love the colour and the fit.
Also I noticed that my arms are too shorts for proper...
Sorry for hijacking the thread, but I don't feel like starting a new one: can somebody post some pics of langlitz jackets made with their current brown cowhide? I asked Scott at Langlitz, but he said he doesn't have any. :(
+1 for don't bulk unless you're using chemicals. One of the good reasons is that bulking should be followed with hard training combined with hard diet to lose the extra fat but to maintain(most of) the muscle mass. Hard training + hard diet is a combination that might cause many problems, for...
To me its obvious that jacket feti.. enthusiasts discuss hangers in depth. Hanger is, after all, where are our beloved jackets spend most of their time.
*heated debate about tyre choices for sports cars* -> ”hey guys, just take the bus! You’re welcome.”
*arguing about best chess strategies* -> ”you people should just watch TV! You’re welcome.”

I received my Aero hangers today. For me they would be perfect if only they were little bit wider. My jackets' shoulders are about 3-4" wider than the hanger so there is a considerable overhang which might cause some deformation on shoulder area over time.
One thing about these hangers is...
