My experience has been ...
Having done this several times:
One size up should be no problem.
Two sizes up and it gets a bit tight. You're likely to lose some crown height and the proportions will be a bit off.
I wouldn't try to go up more than two sizes and would recommend stopping at one.
gtd, I like everything about that Casual; bound edge, nice ribbon, big break on the brim, deep side dents, elongated diamond crease. Very nice.

Are you using the same camera to take both pictures?
UWS Cowboy, The felt of the Campdraft and a standard Fed IV will be approximately the same thickness. The felt is thicker/heavier when the hat is made with Heritage quality felt.
Chrome, The early word is that the Campdraft in Glen Grey from HD has a blue cast. There won't be any blue tones...
Looks good, Mr. P. The crown is blocked rather low on the Temple at the factory but can be fashioned into an Open Crown and then recreased with the use of steam. Wish I'd known you'd be at the HATCO Outlet. We could have met there. Maybe next time.
Three shots of the Stratoliner crown.
deanglen, The crown of the Stratoliner is 5 1/2" at the top of the pinch. I doubt that the camera adds much if any to the height. The brim is 2 1/2".
gtd, Good eyes & mouth. I cropped it a bit.
deanglen, You are approaching your inner Douglas. Do I detect a hint of a smile lurking there?
Here's one with a Stratoliner.
Since the hat is a family heirloom, I suggest sending it to one of the professional hatters that do restorations. They may be able to stitch the felt and hide the stitches beneath a new ribbon after reblocking the hat. The sentimental value may be worth whatever expense is incurred.
A Resistol With the Peters Bros. Shady Oaks liner was sold on ebay today.
