If not wanting to rotate ten jackets without ever truly managing to really make one your own then holding out for the one that you really do want makes sense to me. I think the wait is maybe 2.5 years, which of course is not to everyone's taste, granted. In my case, my order is in the mail now...
I can tell you from my recent dealings with him that JC doesn't have black. Apparently not much demand for it so he ordinarily doesn't stock any these days.
Maybe you could rethink your need for black and jump on this one before some other ba***rd gets it!

Maybe he sorts out customers by type, based on email correspondence. For example there could be two types; high maintenance and low maintenance. If enough of the latter exist to always be busy, then why fret over the former?
