Alright guys, I've had a few offers and it set me thinking.
The absolute bottom line is gonna be 800 US via friends and family option on PP plus buyer to pay shipping.
I also can consider trades for size 40/42 of similar quality i.e BK, GW, ELC, or maybe Thedi. Thx
Walked past a well placed bush today.
PS I fear these photos have lost some clarity after being shrunk for here. But anyway, you know what shinki is and this is a super nice batch
What I really need to do is take it outside into some natural light and photograph it there. But in the meantime until I get that chance here's a few snaps taken inside, with and without the flash. With the flash on the lens seems able to detect the base colour.. What these photos, to an extent...
More than unusual Lebowski, this is a one off! It was made with shinki supplied to the manufacturer by the customer.. And I have it from a reliable source that this won't be happening ever again so it is I guess a collectors piece and so probably I should now jack the price up a bit lol...
It's Shinki on the lighter side, not flimsy, but there is beefier out there. Basically well suited to hotter climes. In real life it looks virtually black, but it's in fact a very dark brown. Guess you'd call it dark seal. The camera can see the base colour, which is seal, but as yet there is no...
@holdencain
In the pic of brown horse to the right what's that reddish looking one to the left? Is that red horse?
And in the pic above that oneoone,wh brown buffalo is on top of brown goatskin what's that one at the bottom? Is that goatskin too?
Everyone can see how good looking cxl is, and how
well it ages is indisputable
Yet Good Wear, Himel, Eastman, Bill Kelso, Real McCoys, Mtster Freedom, all the other primo Jap makers and Thedi don't use it. Hmm
I wonder is that because they just don't know what good leather is, or could it be...
@Seb Lucas
Perhaps amongst the busiest posters hrere we are a minority. But outside of here there's no doubt we represent the overwhelming majority. I also strongly suspect that the silent majority on these pages sees it our way too,
With the fiercely pro cxl crew I wonder how long these guys...
This modern Lee thin denim rider jacket that I wear as a shirt. It's ideal for hot places where mosquitos and sun need to be kept from your skin. I really like the pocket config on it, and the one at the back is especially handy for when I'm out and about on my bike
@ton312
I've worn them under sized correctly sized and oversized. it just seems to me that the leather is too heavy.
Looking at a great fitting example like your CR makes me rethink, but then I snap out of it when I recall the day to day reallity
@tropicalbob
Bob you've put forward an amazing case for cxl there fair play to you, and I wish I could get behind it. Believe me I've tried
I've had cxl jackets with years on the clock that were as soft as cxl can ever be. But even in that state it was not a jacket that could be worn all day...
The aesthetic is absolutely fabulous and this is the optimal length for this jacket to be worn in all its glory. Your sense of style is very apparent sir, and sets you apart.
The trouble with cxl, as you are finding out, is that though it looks great and is great for falling off a motorcycle...
I won't be getting dragged in any further beyond this post.
At the end of the day, whilst everyone is entitled to one, all opinions are not equal. Some are informed, some plain ignorant, others deliberately contrarian etc etc
Type 3s when worn well are worn short. Yes, if you want to wear it...
Yep, I do get the general gist don't worry. Which is that you couldn't find a pic of a longer type 3 looking good on someone and so we have this! Whatever it is. Granted, the guy doesn't look bad in it but it's not exactly cool is it? Do you think anyone here is aspiring to look like this guy...
