This morning I started out in my tawny fawn Campdraft for meeting Mr. Paladin at HATCO and surveying their offerings. Then we moved on to lunch. I switched to this Montecristi Optima from Robert Weber when it arrived in the afternoon's mail. -

The 1st place I'd look would be in the Classifieds on the Fedora Lounge. At least the sellers know what they're talking about. Prices are generally as-good-as or better-than those you'll end up with on Ebay. -

The auction closed with no bids so I contacted the seller and he relisted this Oklahoma Hatters 20X silverbelly with grey brim binding and 1 1/2" ribbon as BIN @$75.00. 4 3/4" at the front crease and 3 1/4" brim. I snapped it up. -

Here's my mid-brown Campdraft with an unswirled 23 ligne cotton/rayon grosgrain ribbon. The ribbon is just pinned on to show what the hat would look like with a wide ribbon. -
