I was thinking the same....This is a beautiful piece of leather, surely worthy and in very good conditions, but not a CAL. Epaulets, grainy leather, double inside pockets, back shape, many details differs
Sorry to mind your business but....if your weight is 79kg I doubt that your jacket's WIDTH (pit2pit) should be 60cm or more...it's gonna be very loose. I have more or less your figures and a 55cm width (pit2pit) fits me perfectly...if I want to stay on the loose side I'd go for 57/58. Just...
Schott's is a very bad copy.... About CAL's, could be difficult to find those kind of measures/proportions...I have 3 CAL's, crosszipped and frontzipped, and they are all very boxy: a 54cm pit2pit CAL ain't gonna be longer than 58cm
I usually wear a blue vintage knit tie with my chambray shirts or, in alternative, a madras check tie...always high waist chinos or, if I have to join a group of fahion pros, white denim/chinos with wide legs. Best footwear combo, imho, are blonde suede oxfords or suede boots
Hi, the jacket is not "short" at all...it only comes from the 50's when guys used only high waist trousers....So we should say that your belt line is low...Just kidding but you should try with a higher waist pair of denim and you'll fall in love with the final result (see Tom Hardy's outfit in...
I agree with you. I ride a bike since 1978 and have never seen a "biker movie" this detailed and focused on giving back some meaning to "the community". Danny Lyon's book is super amazing in itself and very peculiar: nobody really cared a lot about the biker's scene outside California and nobody...
In the movie, Tom's leather seems more "waxed" and oiled than new...but of course I cannot say if that is photography/lights/effects or a specific leather treatment to pop the jacket out of the screen...I wouldn't say it seems new, at all
Movie theatre here in Italy....and, yes, pretty sure that Tom's leather is legit and original (I have a 50s Hercules and waiting for another)....nothing to be compared with that new Schott "repro". The costume designer said that he was mixing old legit stuff with new ones heavily customized so...
Exactly! Yesterday evening I finally went to see the movie and I was absolutely sure to have seen exactly THAT Hercules on FDL...here it is. I know that the costume designer, Erin Benach, did a great job in building several versions of the main jackets but the one that Hardy is mainly wearing IS...
