From Toyo Enterprises 'Gold' line comes what is often referred to as a Coastguard or Avalanche coat by reproducers.
There exist numerous variants of this style of coat many of which can be seen in vintage photos being worn by USN personnel; it's impossible to know just how many of these were officially issued and which may have been purchased privately. The coat also seemed to be popular cold weather wear in the post-war years, particularly in rural areas of the USA, but its appearance in several Western films seems anachronistic as I believe the design dates back no further than the 1930s.
Like the USN N-1 Deck Jacket it has a Bedford Cord outer shell, and comes with a plush mouton fur shawl collar, with leather trim on the sleeves, pockets and fasteners.
Tagged a 38 measurements being Chest = 20½" / Shoulders 16" / Length 28½" / Sleeves 24".
Lightly used. No issues.
I'm asking £195 or U$$250 plus shipping (& any fees, though these have been avoided with my sales to date with payment via Paypal F+F).
