Have found some real bargains on Vinted including a vintage Alpha flight jacket, loads of classic polo shirts and cravats too … appears cheaper than eBay generally.
Serial wearer here, no longer a collector and have scratched that jacket itch hopefully. Current Eastmans leather jackets amount to 6 all of which are keepers & about 10 nylon flight jackets which fit well and don’t owe me anything. Non wearers and other wardrobe queens were moved on ages ago...
Duck canvas pants from PB are great value, on about my fourth pair now, have got on with lots of their products with the exception of a waxed vest that stood up on its own and wore like armour. Tried many things to break it in including leaving it hanging in all weathers for a week or so …...
Unless something is of extreme sentimental value just sell and buy again. Major jacket alterations are not only expensive but prone to issues …. as I have found out on more than one occasion

A-2 great for dress up or down and the design spawned a lot of the casual jackets we see worn today. I own two ELC models & have ridden my Vespa often in an A-2 (armoured bike shirt underneath).

Be interesting to know what their textiles are like, two custom leathers and both unwearable for me but struck lucky by sending them a denim type 3 which they did a great job of cloning in black leather … gets worn a lot.
