The TFL effect with buying and selling

Serial wearer here, no longer a collector and have scratched that jacket itch hopefully. Current Eastmans leather jackets amount to 6 all of which are keepers & about 10 nylon flight jackets which fit well and don’t owe me anything. Non wearers and other wardrobe queens were moved on ages ago...

    Pike Brothers 1942 khaki chinos

Duck canvas pants from PB are great value, on about my fourth pair now, have got on with lots of their products with the exception of a waxed vest that stood up on its own and wore like armour. Tried many things to break it in including leaving it hanging in all weathers for a week or so …...

    I've quite a few jackets - 44" but how to I resize to a 40"?

Unless something is of extreme sentimental value just sell and buy again. Major jacket alterations are not only expensive but prone to issues …. as I have found out on more than one occasion

    A2 fit

I think the A-2 is an absolute classic design and spawned generations of casual jackets. Some view the A-2 as unflattering and giving a ‘sack of spuds’ look to the wearer. I think an A-2 looks great on if it fits properly, you are in reasonable shape & the jacket itself is well made in decent...

    A2 or Perfecto

A-2 great for dress up or down and the design spawned a lot of the casual jackets we see worn today. I own two ELC models & have ridden my Vespa often in an A-2 (armoured bike shirt underneath).

    Five Star Leather Jackets

Can’t say I get excited by 5* leather either have been spoilt by Eastmans. Replica Alpha MA-1 has gone into the loft alongside a box containing MASH replacement knits. I have an early issued CWU 45P with action back that I’ll sell to raise funds for my tailor to fit the new knits. I have a...

    Five Star Leather Jackets

Be interesting to know what their textiles are like, two custom leathers and both unwearable for me but struck lucky by sending them a denim type 3 which they did a great job of cloning in black leather … gets worn a lot.
