You asked about a gym bag. That is usually towel, work out clothes, water bottles, energy snacks, gloves, lifting straps, workout shoes, deodorant. I would never put a laptop in a bag with those things. Did you switch from lookin for a gym bag to an office bag? I missed that.
I bought the Chris Reeve Small Inkosi in S35VN in 2020.
The Small Sebenza in CPM magnacut is from 2024.
The Magnacut steel has much better edge retention.
The Sebenza is a much more versatile blade shape.
If I had to choose one it would be the Sebenza for it's utility.
With the Inkosi and the...
Looks sharp. Except the sleeves are too short again. I had a Schott made in Canada and gave it away because of the sleeves being a few inches too short.
I have 17 " shoulder and 25.5" sleeve.
Ironheart works best in the non-custom world. Stick with that brand since it fits you. They have plenty of nice things to choose from.
Yes to the iron heart deck jacket.
I like the stuff they make. Sleeve are almost long enough. Bronson also make a few items that work well with a small long arm shape body. Helps out a lot on the motorcycle.
Yes! Get a battery powered vest for those cold days and you will be removing the hat and unzipping the jacket. It's better than adding a whole bunch of layers.
Looks like you have the same long arms problems I have. Although I'm a small I buy medium size to get 1" longer length in the sleeve. And they are still 2 inches too short. Then one year ago I discovered custom, and no longer waste my time having a closet full of oversized short sleeve jackets...
I have saddleback. It is nice and heavy but not very handy. It take a lot of time to operate the heavy buckles.
For a gym bag or something I need to get in and out of quickly and move on to the task at hand I would go for textile. And it is easier to stash out of the way.
Red Oxx railroad...
Looks goofy to me. Get rid of it. The sleeves and body are much too short. If I was out and about and you passed by wearing that it would be extremely difficult to keep from laughing.
You can wear away the fleece on any brand shearling jacket by constantly rubbing it against something.
The more you rub it the faster it will wear down.
If you do a lot of walking and your arms brush against your side with every step it will wear down much faster.
The neck area also wears...
If you are looking for a down jacket 80% of the down in all down jackets (or any other down product) comes from China. Most of it is duck down and may have a little goose mixed in. Products are generally assembled in China, India, and Mexico. The feathers may be stitched into a packet in China...
A2 jacket with a puffy vest or an electric vest would be more functional.
Shearling would be the best if the jacket has to be leather.
Leather and down would quickly turn into a soggy chilly mess if you are doing any activities like clearing snow.
It isn't breathable enough. All the moisture...
