Change up for the new year with this gifted Sterkowski from @deadlyhandsome Brent. A different look, certainly, which received 2 compliments on Saturday. Feeling like a Wild One!!
Details are important. The add-on ear warmer I have from Buckaroo Hatters does it all, including assuring the hat stays on in hurricane winds. The well-thought-out device is designed to very minimally affect the fit, too, if at all, while keeping your ears toasty warm.
See for yourself…...
1. Custom Stingy from Buffalo.
2. Hatless on a sub-zero morning at the pond (yesterday).
3. Black Sheep Hat Works to watch the cold.
4. Hatted up with an MQ-1 Korean conflict era cold weather cap.
5. 4:00pm sunsetting at the end of the winter solstice.
I may need to do doubles. Borsalino slimbrim for today’s stingy stubmission. Vvveerrryy slow internet here at the pond (7mb!) has slowed down StingyMas for a few days…
Easy way to extend any brim is to use a wide angle lens.
Hurry! It’s the winter solstice, and we don’t have much daytime...
Today’s tiny brim came to me after convincing Art Fawcett that I wanted a stingy. He fought, but eventually acquiesced to my wish. He was always a broader brim fan. In “natural.”
The leftover neckties make for an interesting backdrop?
Sticking with stingies, this well-worn wonder from Peters Brothers Texas Hatters. Bob Jessee of Black Sheep Hat Works patched a previously prominent moth bite on the crown.
Happy Stingymas!

Have the best week ever!!
Thank you, Reg! The cold in northern Vermont can be harsh, and this invention turned out to be just the ticket.
The shades were originally a temporary fall-back (clip-ons!) while Rx lenses were being made; a gift from the optician. But, they are legit, super quality from “Safilo” of Italy. I...
As the temperatures drop, I’m reminded to pop in the Buckaroo Hatters ear cover/wind guard I bought last season This is GENIUS.
Now I need the brown one…
