Hmmm... does it count as a 'win' if you bought and paid for the hat but had to pay more for it than you were expecting? I just 'won' this hat from 2005. Very interesting. I had incorrectly assumed that a stingy would look right on a smaller head and not right at all on a bigger head. Your post blows that idea right out. When I ponder the question I don't think much has changed. When I look in my closet the changes are stark. In the earlier years it was B-3, CR, and that soft and thin caramel colored jacket that was common years ago. How do folks react to your hat wearing?
I've noticed something else that's happened often enough now that it's definitely related. People are generally a little kinder to a man w/ a gray beard and a fedora than they are to the same guy w/out.
